Just an idea that I thought might be worth "exploring"

My daughter is starting GCSE's this year and one of her subjects is Art & Media which includes Photography. Last Wednesday I headed to Milford-on-Sea and Lymington with wife and daughter as daughter's Art & Media teacher had set a holiday assignment of "The Beach" and she was required to take photos of beach scenes. I noticed in a thread this morning that Brian S has "lent" his 40D to a young lady as she is doing Photography for GCSE.
So, these two incidents got me thinking (and that can be dangerous).....

Photography now being a GCSE subject, either on its own or part of another subject, means that there are a number of school kids snapping away with Canon gear on school projects which will be "commented on" by a teacher.
However, if there was a section in this forum whereby the kids could post their photos so that the many members here could comment and assist the kids in their "growth" into the world of photography think how much they could learn.
Many of the members started out in the world of photography by working with possibly one professional and learnt their basic skills from one person, here on this forum there are so many who could give their expert opinion and help the kids.
I am suggesting a separate section as forum members would then know that the image posted is one taken by a GCSE person and so any comments would be slanted towards positive comments rather than negative comments.

Just a thought.....

I was trying to post an image in a new thread. I attached a 77kb file that is 720x720. When I preview the post, the image looks tiny. The file size is the same, but the image in the post is not. Any ideas? I'm using a MacBook Pro (2008) with the latest version of Snow Leopard and Safari.
