    Re: forum private message service

Yes, it prevents a single user from 'spamming' by sending a lot of private messages within a short period of time.

I can adjust this to allow more messages per hour.

    Changes will apply across...
  5. Re: Is “you only get what you pay for” no longer true?

When you purchase a Canon product you are making a contribution to the costs of a worldwide distribution network with offices in many countries. You are also helping to pay for print, cinema,...

    DPP and IPTC data

Canon's Digital Photo Professional (DPP) software provides a good range of EXIF data about the images you shoot with your EOS camera. It also offers a metadata section for IPTC data. However, this is...
  9. Re: Why is shutter count kept so secretive?

I have used Mac versions of ShutterCount and EOS Inspector to check the shutter actuations of an EOS 7D Mark II. Both apps were compatible with the camera and both gave the same reading (always...
  10. Re: Why is shutter count kept so secretive?

No, only Canon knows that and they are not saying.
  11. Re: Why is shutter count kept so secretive?

We ran a comprehensive article on the subject of shutter counts in the January-March 2014 issue of EOS magazine.

Early models in the EOS-1D series stored the information in EXIF data, but this is...

    Re: Article on DPP

Apologies - that's an error. The tick is missing from the DPP 3 column alongside the EOS D30. Compatibility for the EOS D30 and D60 is the same.

I'll publish a correction in the next issue of EOS...

    Re: Synching two macs

    Re: Synching two macs

Perhaps I have misunderstood the question, but why not store the Lightroom catalog and images together on an external drive? It is what we do at EOS magazine for our photo library (20,000 images+)....
