    The King visits Torbay

    On 17th March 2012 steam loco 6024 King Edward l paid a visit to Torbay with ‘The Torbay Limited’. This was the last mainline appearance of the King as the engines 10 year running ticket expires at the end of the month. The train is seen passing Goodrington on the Dartmouth and Paignton Railway.

    lovely shot. IMO i think a B/W conversion could make it more dramatic

      Lovely shot of it working hard.

      I have taken my kids down the water Flumes in the background many times.

          Pity about the flumes in the background -its great when they chuck some coal on to produce some smoke. It really looks like the engine is working -may the force be with you
