Re: Might have got my 600D a bit wet, what should I do?
On getting your camera wet (or suspecting you might have) -
1/. Most important. Get all the batteries out as soon as possible. Main one first followed the any small cells it may have. Take off all detachables like flashes and memory cards, but not the lens.
2/. Remove as much surface water as you can with tissues or clean dry cloth but do not get these near the sensor.
3/. If you have silica gel new in sealed foil containers place these in an airtight container with your camera with all it's doors and covers open.A polythene bag will do. Any odd bags of silica gel that have been in your camera or lens boxes will be saturated and as such, useless. If you so not have gel, dried (but not microwaveable) rice will do. Once sealed, put in a warm place like an airing cupboard for several days.
4/. Pray.
