    5D Mk 3 Memory Card Advice

    Hi All

    I have just treated myself to a 5D Mk 3 and was after some advice on what speed of memory card I need, also any advice on manufacturers. I normally us Scandisk.

    I've been using Trandscend 32Gb UDMAx7 400x CF cards since my 7D, 1D3 and now 5D3 and they have been great. Never missed a beat. Also have one of their class 10 sd cards too.

      I use Sandisk in mine, I use and SD and CF card. The CF I use as a backup and only format after I'm happy that the images have copied off correctly and are all ok.
      To prevent any buffering issues I decided to go for fast cards, my SD are 95MB/s and my CF are 160MB/s.
      For both SD and CF the capacity I use is 32GB.

      Maybe those speeds are higher than needed, but I am pleased with performance and don't get any buffering delays.

        I use Sandisk in mine. I have a 16GB Sandisk Extreme (HD Video) 30MB/s in the SD slot, also a 16GB Sandisk Extreme 30 MB/s in the CF slot.
