    The Great Escape



    This is Dee’s shot from last nights competition in this thread. It is just a single shot with no further PS manipulation although there was a bit of work in preparing the various components. This is how it was done :

    A few weeks ago while visiting friends we took a shot of their metal back gate, which we thought would make a good base for the prison windows. With some work in photoshop we got this



    We then visited the local model railway shop and bought some OO gauge card printed with brick, slates and tarmac which you can use to make buildings etc. The brick wall was scanned and then the windows added before printing at A4 size



    It then just remained to visit Toys R Us to get the appropriate Lego characters and tear off a strip from an old white handkerchief for the knotted sheet, put it all together and shoot

    Dee used her 7D and !7-85, tripod mounted, 0.5 sec, f32, ISO 100

            yes quite a few hours in sourcing the bits and pieces and processing and a couple of minutes to shoot it
