Thread: EOS Pub/ General Discussion Section

  1. #21

Re: EOS Pub/ General Discussion Section

I've taken on board all the comments and made the following changes.

In the 'EOS magazine forum' section of the main page you will find two new categories. One is for 'General photo discussions' - anything photographic not covered by other categories.

Below this is 'The EOS Pub'. However, this is just a message giving details of how to get to the pub. You can't post in the category. I have left the pub where it is for two reasons. First, it can't be moved. It has been set up as a group, rather than a category and it is not possible to move it into the main area of the forum. The only option would be to delete the existing group and start a new category. However, I have decided against this because the main purpose of the forum is to promote photographic discussions. As mentioned above, some people would be irritated by non-photographic messages appearing in the 'Latest posts'. Keeping the pub separate provides a general discussion space for those who want it without annoying those who don't.

"There is a creative fraction of a second when you are taking a picture. Your eye must see a composition or an expression that life itself offers you, and you must know with intuition when to click the camera. That is the moment the photographer is creative," he said. "Oop! The Moment! Once you miss it, it is gone forever." Cartier-Bresson
