      Thanks Tony, never thought to look on youtube. I guess if I'm honest, I'm not quite in the range of knowing my subject well enough to fill the frame, as he says. I also find there's often physical obstructions that stop me getting as close I'd like and on holidays you don't have time to learn a subject well enough to get that close, 7D is looking a whole lot more likely with maybe a big fixed focus lens to compliment the telephoto.

        having seen the images some members have got with the 7D MkII I would say thats a much better option than the 5Ds - I wouldn't really class it as a wildlife camera - more so studio / landscape work

          I intend to wander into the Jessops shop in Aberdeen for a look at the 7Dmk2, does anyone use an extender with this body with the 100-400, what's your opinion?
