    Scar House Reservoir, Nidderdale

    Hi,

Any comments welcome. 10 minutes before this was taken the skies were dark and rain was pouring down. We were walking across the dam and I turned around and saw the skies start to clear. Taken with a Powershot SX110 that we had with us on a lovely, long, tiring walk.

Well I think there are two reasons shots like this shouldn't be posted. Firstly it makes me question why I carry so much kit about, and secondly if the 'financial controller' should see it I would never be able to justify the next bit of heavy kit!!

Seriously though its a really nice shot, great reflections. Could maybe do with a little reduction in the sky exposure but given it is a compact well done!

Glad you posted this here. Saw this on flickr whilst I was looking at your atlantic coastline.

I use the powershot S100 for diving and also to "stick in the bag"- it does a great job and so have you done here.

Many thanks for all the comments.

Ian, Yes I see what you mean. I was just so shocked at the shot I got I couldn't help but leave it alone.

Birdy, You will be OK, the chances of me bagging another one like that on a compact are similar to picking the Saturday night numbers.

                  Thanks all
