Three reason to have a lenshood for each lens:
Colin
- Limit the effect of lensflare.
- Some protection for the front of the lens against knocks and scrapes.
- It looks cool .............. Hmmm, perhaps I should have put this one first!
The lens hood on the 55-250mm lens looks really cool and shows you mean business!!
Lens hoods ordered..
Will get them on as soon as they arrive and get out and use them..
Thanks for the help

1 series body and 24-70mm with hood, now that's a combo that gets comments.....![]()
LOL....It is a beast of a lens + hood.1 series body and 24-70mm with hood, now that's a combo that gets comments.....
It makes xD and xxD bodies look a bit small, this could be an issue for those not wishing to hear comments about how small their body is . :-)
Millie
"She Who Must Be Obeyed" is more than happy to hear how small her body is. A very useful source of browny points when needed.

If I have the lens hood on the 70-200 2.8 it does look to people like I have a telescope attached (I have been asked to use the camera to help identify something at an implausibly long distance and had to explain I can't help all that much as it isn't quite what it seems) so reversing it can be handy when the sun isn't out...
