Some impressive detail in all your shots, your flikr stuff is very good. You seem to cut bits off by getting too close(or cropping) for me though.

No2 is the best shot, composition and detail are about right

No1 background is distracting and you have cut the top of the head feathers on one of the horses

No3 too closely cropped in a way with half an eye missing.

No 4 too loose a crop with the stallholder hidden behind the flowers. May be worth a much tighter crop with just the flowers in the frame

no 5 that scene would work better with just the building in the frame rather than being dominated by the half a head - perhaps there is a different angle to shoot from to exclude that

Re: Krakow, Poland - I'm Still Learning

I know I get my verticals wrong and also I too sometimes don't get the image set up to best effect by trying to get too close or crop too tightly. It's a matter of personal opinion as to what is or isn't correct. As Stan said, you chopped a few bits off, that just took the edge off a bit.

Nice sharp images and good composition in the second one.

agree the 2nd is the best of the set, although I don't mind the odd viewpoint on the 3rd ..the others seem like they are cut something off so don't work for me

All the comments above are relevant. They are all lovely and sharp, which is a great start. As you say, paying attention to your crops, and your verticals would improve these greatly. Great efforts though. Your images do show though that the 7d handles low light pretty well.

                  Nice work,

Nice set, like No 2 best. All sharp though.

Nothing wrong with No2 at all, I'd be chuffed with that one.

In time you will 'see' the shot quicker and better. I started without that skill too, some would argue I still don't have it! Keep taking pics and eventually the composition will follow. And be more judgemental of what you shoot. Digital images cost nothing, take loads, delete the bad ones and show off all the good ones and fool everyone into thinking that all your shots are good

Number 2 is a really lovely night time image looking across the 13th century Rynek Square, onto the twin towers of St. Mary's Basilica.
