Well done with your bargain Paul. If I wasn't on a crop sensor it would be on my list too, or already in my bag!

Looking forward to seeing your images from it.

Thanks james I'm sure the distortion can work for you as well as against in some occasions.

          Hi Antoeknee

Like John has said, just type in the LSERIES10 code when you get to the final payment screen and then claim the Canon cashback when you get the lens.

Just an update, Lens has just arrived so that was quick as I didn't pay for next day delivery (went for the free 4/5 days delivery).
That said it's not the first time I've avoided paying for next day only for the item to arrive nearly as quick.

1, I'm always a bit busy over the weekends due to the papers so that's probably not going to happen.

I've just purchased this lens, missed the WEX 10% deal, but Jessops had a 5% deal on just after Christmas, and with the £75 cash back from Canon, I'm happy enough.
And what a cracking lens, got it to replace my 17-40F4L, which was no slouch, but the 16-35 knocks into the far woods.
Not sure I particularly need the IS, but it's there if ever.
Concentrate on equipment and you'll take technically good photographs. Concentrate on seeing the light's magic colours and your images will stir the soul. - Jack Dykinga
Light makes photography. Embrace light. Admire it. Love it. But above all, know light. Know it for all you are worth, and you will know the key to photography- George Eastman

A great lens. The IS comes into its own if you want to do slow shutter speed street photography or interior architecture shots where a tripod would not be allowed.
                              Enjoy
