    I also have a pro account but obviously it doesn't make any difference these days and the only reason I continue to pay is I am worried if I cancel the subscription I will lose the 9300 shots posted to the account over the past 4 years.

    Anyway I have never received e mail notifications but I do have flickr set as one of my home pages and that set to Recent Activity so when it opens I am always aware of new comments, favourites etc

      thanks Stan ...maybe the pro route isn't the way, just need access email alerts as you do feel your ignoring comments

        I can assure you that changing from pro to free does not effect your Flickr library in any way ,personally I haven't noticed any changes at all apart from flickrstream usual bad panda cock ups
