    Collateral Damage 1

Collateral Damage 1 came about as I was removing some wallflowers from a flower bed to make room for a new planting scheme. This Allium unfortunately was chopped off before it had time to reach full growth. This morning I decided to create a stacked image, all of the twenty seven original images were shot at f2.8, this choice still leaves the rear most part of the flower head and the stalk out of focus, but it works for me.

I like that a lot and I'm amazed and impressed you managed 27 shots with no detectable movement

That the stalk is OOF is not an issue but I'm undecided on whether I like the OOF halo and would need to see a comparison. Shoot another 27?

    Cheers,
    John

Thanks for taking time to look and comment everyone. Acting on the feedback I've shot another set and re-stacked each. Here's the rework of Collateral1. The original images for this stack were made using f8 and the studio was different. This time I set up in the kitchen as I'm Hound sitting today and one of them was sleeping in the original studio (the bay window). Well they do say " let sleeping dogs lie"

Additionally with this series I also shot a couple with the focus on the stalk.

Ver impressive, Peter, though for me if you are going to focus stack, I think it all needs to be in focus, so I find your second effort much more pleasing than the first. It has a real 'botanical drawing' feel about it - and I mean that in a good way.
