    Harris Ruin

A Mono version of a ruin that I've previously posted in a landscape thread, I would be interested in your thoughts on this as I don't do a lot of this type of processing.

That's OK by me Ian, I must check out a few tutorials to see if I can get this processing to stick in my old grey matter

I think whatever you use to covert to mono, this will always be better in colour

hope you don't mind had a bit of a play - working with a download is never good, but this is the type of thing I would try

Ian has beaten me to it. I was going to say it could do with a bit more contrast. I find that doing as much as you can in Silver Efex then have another tweak in LR really helps, especially pushing the clarity once back in LR. It's a good image though.

Thanks for all the comments and for Ian's tweak it's so much better than my rubbish edit.

There is an odd effect when transferring from PS to SilverFX - if the photo has any sharpening applied SilverFX can add dreadful haloing along high contrast edges. Judging from your photo the same issues may apply to LR as well.
