    Departing Ullapool

Taken from the deck of a CalMac Ferry en-route to Stornoway on the Western Isles. Shame I chopped the left hand end of the peninsular

        Re: Departing Ullapool

Just to add to my passion for tidiness (read OCD), I must have realised my mistake with the original single image. This is a four shot (portrait) panorama stitched in LR then cropped to loose some sky and water, oh and a con trail was removed from the left. I suppose this could be a bit of a postcard image?

I like the stitch but would have appreciated a higher resolution on Flickr revealing all the lovely detail they can provide. Otherwise a good shot from a vantage point I've never seen (although I have watched the ferry come and go )

            Cheers,
            John

OK, this has to be a fake. I've been on that ferry more times than I care to remember, and I've never seen a blue sky there

The pano is much better but for me could use some more sky, much like the dodgy first image
