    Meridien

One more from my time in Nice. This one may be Marmite I feel. Processed in Aurora after some cleaning up

Yes Marmite but for me it's the composition as it seems a bit front heavy or maybe I like the front but just want more of that sky It is a big lump of concrete but giving just a glimpse of what appears to be the older part of the bridge poking through.

Still, I do like the pastel processing

    Cheers,
    John

        Re: Meridien

works for me, but as I've just done a similar processed shot you knew I was going to say that

I would consider an edit to loose the shoreline as I think it works better just seeing the water alone ...but nice work

You're right about losing the shoreline, good call

like the processing too but my thought was to lose the shoreline as well

I like Marmite and I like this image as for the shore 6 of 1 half dozen of the other if you remove it or not for me. Well done Alan

                Thanks Stan and Tom.

Updated version below. Shore cropped and the top extended to get the rail in the top tight corner

                        Re: Meridien

I agree, isn't it strange how a simple edit can bring a photo together and seem to increase the prominence of that dramatic sky in the image, Well done

Yes that has improved it But I suppose we'll never know if balancing the forground with more sky would have been a bigger improvement

                          Cheers,

I like the processing, a nice look.
The edit looks better as the right hand of the image is more even.
