    Life in a side street

So, for a change, I thought I would post a before and after processing. Not because I think I'm great or it's an amazing shot, more to show the difference processing can make especially when shot in RAW (sorry to drag that elephant out again )

Typically we all post the after shot and I often wonder what it looked like before and from that we can all learn different processing methods, again not because I'm the best, far from it.

This is OOC, not editing or processing just exported from LR as a jpeg

And this after my workflow. In LR my usual drop the highlights, lift the shadows, set the white and black points and apply lens correction, CA and verticals corrected. From there over to Aurora (which I love) for the final elements. To be able to target each area with a different layer, mask and brush makes such a difference. Yes I know PS allows that too but it's still a little beyond me

Anyway, hope you like the end result and my explanation of how I went about the processing.

PS, I'm not great or good or amazing, just to clarify things

Very good indeed Proof, if it was ever needed, of the dramatic improvements processing can make.

    Cheers,

thats some transformation and whilst like you don't want to box THAT box again, but it shows what you can pull from a good raw file...

A really good application of significant post processing.....that is to say I don't think it should be applied to that degree for everything but works superbly here.

Usually wouldn't process a shot quite this far but for me the subject can carry it off
