Thought I would post the colour version to compare. This is slightly different to the mono which was shot by Dee, the colour, me. I think possibly the colour shows off the textures and patina more

Except that someone has left a tiny daub of paint on the roller RHS, at first glance it looks like a chip!

Love the textures, Stan, and for me it works better in colour as it differentiates the roller, the rail and the wall. That said, without your explanation I would have absolutely no idea what it was, so it has to work purely as an abstract image for me, which it does (except, as Russell says, for that 'chip' which I'd tidy).

The subtle colourations in the paintwork and the rust patterns are really rather pleasing.

Can't say I prefer this to the mono version - the two just bring a different aesthetic into play.
