    Warwick University

Today SWMBO and I visited Warwick University (confusingly located on the outskirts of Coventry - I suppose the name sounds better) and while she was doing the business, I wandered around the campus (which is huge).

There are a number of lakes and I walked down to one of these and took a few shots with the EOS M3, one of which is below.

I decided the contrast between clouds and sky was insufficient in the original image and so tried the de-hazer slider in LR. This had the desired result for the sky, but did not help the rest of the image, so I made a virtual copy, applied the de-hazing to that and blended the two images together with a layer mask in PS. The end result is quite pleasing.

Or more simply use a brush in LR with the dehaze adjusted!

I knew there had to be an easier way! Thanks Alan for pointing this out - I have now had another play and that's another technique learned!
