    The Gardens, Oldway Mansion

The mansion may be nigh-on derelict now and closed to the public but the gardens are still receiving attention.

This is the knot garden shot with my new 24-105 f4 L. I'd have preferred it if this citizen wasn't in the shot but couldn't wait as there were two mothers with pushchairs and a gaggle of toddlers rapidly approaching from behind. Such is the popularity of the garden.

The pond at Oldway and a good example of why 24mm is not wide enough on a crop as I had to stitch three images together to get this:

I like both of these John, having the lady in the garden image isn't a problem for me.

          Hear hear...

If you can hold steady enough, or a tripod is involved, a neat trick is to take two or more shots allowing the grockle to move, layer them on top of each other and mask out the unwanted person or persons unknown.

            Thanks Nicel

I have seen that done but have never tried myself as a tripod would be essential, One day, though, I will give it a go.
