    Mating Robber Flies @ISO 6400

Spotted, or rather Dee did, this pair mating as we returned from shooting the kingfishers on Thursday. They were in quite a difficult position and in the shade so to get even a shutter speed of 1/80, it was necessary to shoot at ISO 6400 with the 7DII. Just a little noise reduction on the background but none on the flies

        Cheers guys.

I remember when I first got the 7DII I tested it out quite extensively at higher ISO and was very pleased with the results. Not used it much for wildlife as not been necessary but looking at our images from the London trips this year many of the graffiti and London Underground shots were at 6400

Very nice image. Still thinking of adding 7D2 to my kit. This high ISO performance is interesting

for me you cant go wrong but I never had any issues with the 7D I either (not that I ever used such a high ISO with that but 3200 was always fine)

Now 95% certain that a 7D2 will soon be part of my kit. Have a trip planned for next year and 7D2 will be a useful addition.
