Following on from Marks thread here is an example of using exposure compensation when shooting birds against the sky.
Shot yesterday as we were walking on the local marsh when a kestrel appeared hovering above us. I rather messed up by overdoing the positive exposure compensation so this is one from Dee, with +1 which was just about right with this particular light - there is good detail in the bird whilst avoiding blowing the sky
