    Fiesta Fireworks

My first time taking firework pictures, never knew it could be such fun- both taking and tweaking

Traditionally done to finish off local Fiestas with a bang(!) the best place for seeing them in the Harbour of Mahon was over the other side. Got there early, got tripod set up and guarded my spot. A cute boat arrived half way into proceedings to give my foreground some more interest.

All at ISO 100, F8, live view and just pressed the remote at the start and end of each whoosh which was about 6-7 secs

Wow these are fantastic; very colourful with good reflection on the water.

with fireworks you need a bit of luck in choosing the right time for the exposure, too short and the frame looks a bit empty, too long and it get too busy but time it right, as in your first, then a perfect shot

All very good especially the last one where the frame is nicely filled.
