I think the members must now ignore the porn and get on with photography. There is a bit too much righteous anger shown by a lot of members and I am sure this will not get us anywhere. I should now leave Robert to deal with this crap and not post anymore crap ourselves.

Quite right Nat, I am most surprised that anyone should have bothered even looking at these posta as the forum was filled with them and it was obvious that it wasn't right

I am quite surprised that it has not been spotted and sorted by Robert as yet

I think Stan, Robert has sorted some of the rubbish out now but it doesn't help when irate members add a little more crap to the already existing crap. The threads are becoming rather meaningless at the moment.

Seconded Nat. At one point we had spam, then we had spam plus repeated comments that only made it worse and probably took much more effort to remove. And the spammer had almost certainly moved on by that point so the only people being affected were other forum members.

spam should be ignored simple - these are posted by robots not humans so posting comments does nothing, ignore, report, move on the admin will soon nuke the

Unfortunately the smiley doesn't excuse the comment. I have no need to "get a life" and your deletion of one of the many threads that you started today out of some misguided attempt to hid spam barely corrects the mistake you made.

It is significantly worse because the remedy is to manually delete lots of threads while with the spam, deletion of one user would remove their messages. If i were my board, my finger would be hovering over the delete button on your account.

Today's Russian spam was deleted by the moderators earlier today. If anyone is still seeing any of these posts, please let me know.

It took around a minute to delete the 60 spam posts and ban the spammer. It has taken me nearly an hour to go through all of today's posts and remove the infantile and often offensive posts made by two members. I am very tempted to ban both of them from the forum for wasting my time. If anyone does this again, they will be banned.

As any sensible forum member knows, you never respond to spam messages by clicking on links or replying to the post. Only the moderators can delete posts. A quick PM (private message) to a moderator, or a message using the 'Contact us' link at the bottom of every page is enough. All the moderators have other jobs and might not respond immediately, but the matter will be dealt with as quickly as possible.
