    Backwell lake

I have been itching to get out and take a few shots with my new M5, but a variety of things have prevented it (Christmas, New Year, moving daughter over to Sevenoaks where she starts her first proper job etc.).

Today, although the wind was extremely thin, I went down to our local lake-cum-nature reserve and braved the elements for a little while. It has been a fairly grey day with somewhat mixed weather and this is my attempt to capture it. (Not HDR by the way - just adjustment brush).

Very nice John, the mono works better for me, but then, I would say that.....

Thanks Patrick - I must confess I rather prefer the mono image myself.

I like it. Actually I prefer the colour image to the B&W...

Thanks for looking Sue - the mono version is in the Black & White section.

This is a delightful image and for me better in colour than B&W

Like how you've put the sky centre stage, which it fully deserves. Great rays. I think this has more interest than the mono, which I see you have processed very dark.

Very dark indeed! - It seemed to need something along those lines to create impact.
