    New (to me) vintage kit.

I was recently scrolling through ebay, as I do on many occasion, and thought I'd have a bid on this little beauty.

Canon Av1. Body only. I already had a couple of fd lenses but didn't have a body for them, and while the 50mm F1.8 fd worked OK with an adapter on my 40d, it just wasn't made for it so didn't get used all too often and wanted it to have a body it was made for. So after a couple of glasses of red I popped £20 on it and left it. I woke up the next morning to a notification saying 'you have won' so loaded up ebay and I had won the Av-1 for a grand total of £13.50 delivered!

I was a little apprehensive, but it arrived in good condition, shutter fires, film winds, meter works and all speeds seem pretty accurate.

I'm currently running a roll of film through it now and have about 9 shots left before I get it developed. So I'll post the results here in hopefully a couple of weeks.

Here's a picture of the won item!
