SNPF Day out

I had a great day at the Scottish Nature Photography Festival at Battleby in Perthshire yesterday with a few others from our Camera Club.

Guest speakers included:
Marcus McAdam - Big Skye Thinking: Living and working on a Scottish Island
Bertie Gregory - Wild in the City: Foxes and Peregrines
Nick Cobbing - The skills of Photo Journalism
Edwin Kats - Photographing wildlife on your local patch
Mark Hamblin - Conservation Photography
Sven Zacek - Wet & Wild Estonia

Well worth googling these photographers as their images were outstanding

I was lucky enough to have one of my images short listed for the photographic competition

Its a wild Otter Stan
Photographed on the River Don - a short distance from my house.
I managed to get really close by lying in the freezing cold and wet grass and sneaking closer to the bank when he dived under water.
Unfortunately, I haven't seen them at all this year
