    Up loading to new forum

Not sure with this new tech, do we still need to upload photos via Flickr as when I tried I could only upload via my pc documents? Us poor old oldies trying to learn new tricks, just like dogs its hard.

You are not alone, I've spent most of the afternoon trying to upload an image. A few pointers would be helpful before the PC goes out the window!

Just tried a direct upload. Bit small as part of the post, but click on the photo and it goes to a reasonable size. Will try from Flickr later and see if the quality improves.

Uploading from flickr seems to be no different to before, just copy the flickr BBcode and paste into the body of the thread

Sorry for not replying sooner - but much delayed Christmas shopping was being done

You can click on the camera icon top left of the area where you post - and it will allow either a single photo or album to be displayed - the thumbnails for which are as Colin C pointed out above fairly small - or you can click on the 3rd icon from the right looks a bit like a sheet of paper with a paper clip and it will then give the option of thumbnail size. Direct uploads are limited to 5MB in size, and at the moment it appears the compression has been set to a high level - I will reduce it slightly when I find out where the option is. Using a 3rd party site such as Flickr will always produce a better image than direct storage on the forum, as they have much larger storage capacities and are optimised for storing photographs.
