Gold for the Mayfly

On a regular basis I enter both National and International photographic salons. This image of a mayfly shot locally and previously posted on the forum last year has done well for me, accepted in 9 salons, including being awarded two ribbons and just this morning I had an e mail advising it had been accepted in the Bristol International Salon and awarded a Gold medal for best insect. Well pleased and a bit of sunshine on yet another rainy day

It has been a good week for awards as at Wednesdays camera club competition I won the trophy, just a point ahead of Dee. I recently joined the Guild of Photographers and last month entered 3 shots in their monthly competition, which, they say is judged to International standards so I was chuffed to receive 2 Silver Bars and a Bronze
