Yep think you're correct after doing a bit of reading around came to same conclusion. Just to be cautious only ordered 1 to see how it goes.

Battery arrived about 11 this morning. Pretty speedy as only ordered about 4 yesterday afternoon.

Anyway popped into my 7D2, just over half charged and shows correctly in battery info, shutter count and charge condition.

Also works fine in my 5D3 too. Obviously can't comment on performance re number of shots but at half price of OEM worth a try.

Just put on charger and appears to be charging OK.

      Might be getting more.

My LP-E6's last me a day at least,I use burst mode quite a lot so usually take between three and four hundred each time, depending on the subject, and have never flattened a battery yet.I always keep a spare in my bag though.I prefer a fresh battery with each shoot so I have my shutter count at zero to keep track.

I charge mine in the Canon unit that came with the 7D and they are fine.

I don't use Duracell but Canon own brand in both my 5D MklV and 7D Mkll obviously the 1D X Mkll is a different kettle of fish. However I get a good week out of one battery. Always make a point of charging my batteries on a Sunday evening, ready for the forthcoming week. Having said that I don't take hundreds of shots, I've never used the burst on my 1D and 5D, The last three pictures I've posted on here, the Fox, Stonechat and Hare are the result of 16 pictures in total. I try and make every shot count, I could not be bothered to sit at a computer going through hundreds of shots.
I've never ever bought a new battery, I've not even got a spare, Just in case what are the advantages of the Duracell's over the Canon own brand other than price.

Here is a question... reading the internet it seems that the LP-E6 battery has been replaced by the LP-E6N...

So, which option from these would be the best... Duracell Direct confuse things on the LP-E6N :)

            LP-E6 ... https://www.duracelldirect.co.uk/pno/dr9943.html 7.4v 1600mAh

LP-E6N.. https://www.duracelldirect.co.uk/dig...no/lp-e6n.html shows 2 options, one more powerful and one the same as the LP-E6 ..

Which would you buy? stick with the LP-E6 or go for the "smaller" LP-E6N? which is suspect is just the LP-E6 looking at the picture it even shows LP-E6 :)

Can anyone confirm Canon have discontinued the LP-E6? the website now only shows the LP-E6N and does say it fits the 7D

List shown at the bottom :)

I think the LP-E6N is just an up-grade, will fit any camera that took the LP-E6. No doubt one of the professional on here will know.

As I understood it the 'N' replaced the previous battery just bit more capacity. On the Duracell site the LP-E6N page both the links go to the same page.

Think I'm right in recalling that when I got my 5D3 it had a E6 but have been using E6N with no problems.

From what I read when I first got my 7D it will only take the LP-E6 and not the'N' version of that, and it's what my Duracells are..LP-E6.

It seems that the'N' was originally meant for the 7D2 which obviously superseded the mk1.

Hmm, can't see why the 'N' wouldn't be OK its just more capacity.
