Brian - victim of Flickr bots?

This is Brian. Brian used to work at Kings Cross 'Top Shed' in steam days but now lives a few doors up from me in Devon and visits my garden to watch the summer steam excursions pass on their way to or from Paignton.

It's not a great photo just a 'grab shot' taken one day and although uploaded to Flickr it has never been added to any groups for further exposure yet, in just short of two years, it's racked up well over a thousand views with hardly a day going by without one or two more (two today already). Brian is a top bloke but, with all due respects to him, I really can't understand why it's getting the attention it is.

Is this the fabled 'bots' at work and, if so, what do they seek to achieve?

I reckon it's the knitted waistcoat that does it.

Seriously though, I am also puzzled as to why some images on Flickr get views - there seems to be little, if any, logic to it.

B.T.W. - is the car sorted (or shouldn't I have asked)?

I think it's called a 'tank top' and will have been very stylish when his gran knitted it for him c1970

      The mysteries of Flickr, then.

Car... yes, will let you know in a PM.

      Cheers,
      John

Is it just that it is a great candid shot of your friend?
