Last evening I went down to my main pond to photograph the newly arrived Frogs (posted in animal section). Got everything ready, got a few shots, it was getting dark so decided on a few more using flash. Was worried about reflection so balanced the 580 on the fence and transmitter on camera - Guess what, the flash unit fell in the pond Reluctant to jump in I went back up the house got a net and did a bit of pond dipping! Found it, gave it a good shaking, took the batteries out and hung it in front of the wood burner over night. Guess what again, it working fine. It was in the water all of ten minutes, hence I'm quite pleased with myself this morning
