    Stepping b.ack for now

Due to a very serious medical diagnosis recently {The Big C} I have reluctantly had to part with my beloved Canon DSLR outfit as I am not able to hump it about any longer. It was a big wrench for sure but I had no choice. I hope to still be able to contribute to the forum in some way in the future but that remains to be seen.untill then thanks to all the friends I have made here and keep your fingers crossed for me.God bless you all. Ian W.

Thank you Trev, its just what I expected from you. Update. Just finished a course of Radiotherapy last week and on Monday start Chemo via pills. I take heart that my neighbour had exactly the same as me and she is still here three and a half years down the line. Encourageing indeed. Its a situation of my own making in that I chose to smoke and am now paying the price. Let this be a warning to you all. Regards to all. Ian W.

Ian, really sorry to hear your news. The treatment processes seem to be better these days.

Hope you keep visiting the forum and at some point will be able to start posting images again.

Ian. If this is lung, then let me tell you about a friend of mine. He was diagnosed with lung C three years ago, he decided to give up living. Would not have treatment until a few friends and myself took him to task over it. Told him he was selfish to his family and himself. Which prompted him to take the Radiotherapy, then Chemo, plus a few other procedures. That was three years ago, he's just restored an old motor cycle, re-built the engine, had various parts re-chromed and re-sprayed. He goes out for a walk most days, dropping in to annoy me on route. Last year he kept us supplied with tomatoes from his greenhouse, he told me last week he's just planted out sixty Runner Bean Plants. ------ Have Faith Ian

My sympathies Ian, I have been there and thankfully, come out the other side.

It is such a terrible shock when you hear those words, but keep positive and keep fighting.

Ian I am of the opinion that a positive attitude is half the battle with these horrid illnesses and I realise that from what you are saying already you have that in abundance. Grab yourself a pocket Canon and keep supplying us with your great shots, in compact digital, we will all miss them if not. In my prayers, you can beat it.
