    52 Assignments

My grandson got into photography some eighteen months ago and joined the school camera club, I gave him my 7D Mkll. His main interest and photographic subject are wildlife - I wonder why!
He's constantly asking what he should photograph next. I noticed in the EOS Magazine Shop a series of booklets - '52 Assignments' there are eight books in the series covering various photographic disciplines.
These include such subjects as Black& White Photography, Landscape, Travel and Nature to mention a few.

I bought the Nature one for my grandson and what a fabulous little book it is - I've fallen in love with it myself. There are 52 assignments in the book - a years worth, these range from such subjects as Unseen Nature, Wildlife Landscape, Butterflies, Creatures of the Night and Hide and Seek with instructions on building hides. Assignments are listed from 1 to 52 however there is no requirement to follow these through in order, some are in fact possibly seasonal. Each assignment is covered by a small chapter on 'Technique' for that particular subject.

All in all an excellent little book, however there is one downside from my point of view. I've now been told - "Gramps, I will need to borrow some of your lens" -- Will you now

Hi Bo, I'm sure you will find it worth the purchase if it's anything like the Nature addition. Look forward to hearing your review on it, I'm going to get the Landscape one. Landscape photography is something I must get more in to. Problem I've always got a 500mm hanging around my neck when I see a scene worth capturing.

As for Commission, No. but if Robert would like to send me on an all expense's paid trip to the Galapagos Islands, that's fine by me

Fully aware of that David. Amusing little story transpired from this when the five year old asked why I always took my camera everywhere I go. Then asked "Gramps when you die will you take your camera things to Heaven" To which the wife muttered under her breath, if he does there won't be room in the coffin for him. - just love it
