1300D Problem

I have a friend who likes taking train photos.

His camera is the Canon 1300D.

Twice this week he messaged me saying ‘I had to use manual focus because the auto focus did not work.’ He also said ‘I think it is something to do with the AE/AF lock’.

Can anyone give me any info so I can pass it on, thank you.

He has just told me that his lens is not a Canon lens.

So he borrowed a Canon lens from another friend and it works OK.
