Tiger is the national animal of India. The rulers and subjects of India took great pride in their "shikasr' (hunting sprees) and caused immense damage to the beautiful animal. In 1973 the Indian Government initiated efforts to preserve the Tigers and reserved forests for them. I visited Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve in the central India and had a very lucky sightings of the tigers in wilderness. Would appreciate your checking them out and offer tips for mi next trip.
