Erase buton on a R6

When i chose the erase button, the camera used to highlight the erase option but now it defaults to the cancel option.Any ideas on how to change this please

Never had this on the R but I guess the classic reset by switching on and off...inc battery removal is appropriate?

It's in Custom Function 4 menu – there's an option called 'Default erase option'. Here you can choose which option is selected by default when you press the Erase button.

Resetting Custom Functions is a good thing to do if your camera isn't behaving as you'd expect, as it's normally some programming in there that's the cause of the behaviour.
