Here's one to start the ball rolling. Another smoke shot this time manipulated using the warp tool into the heart shape

      Well done Stan.

Luckily for me it was Jill's birthday yesterday, so I swiped a rose from the bouquet.

        that looks good Andy

Valentines will be a good excuse to but some flowers and then "borrow" for some shots

Thanks Stan. I've just noticed that I have some banding in the bottom right, it looks even worse on Flickr! Is there a way to fix the banding?

Not sure what has caused that Andy, it may just be uneven light. You could try cloning or crop just beyond the top right hand leaf and then just clone out those at the bottom something like this

Thanks Stan. The light was uneven for sure, not to worry.

No problem Stan. I guess folks will be sick of seeing multiple versions.

I've tried another crop, removing most of the banding. It's a bit better.

                      Re: February 2014: Romance

Stan, that's a stunning image, but forgive me because I get the impression more of a devil than a heart! Maybe I'm just odd. Or not at all romantic.
Andy, what a corker of a shot But the banding to which you refer completely passes me by, so I prefer the extra space and placement within the frame of your first image.
Two great images to get the month off to a cracking start.

Alex, the more I look at the different crops, the more I prefer my 1st version.

trouble is red is associated both with the devil and a heart and the problem i had was trying to get a red which looked less devilish and more heartish
