Monthly Theme for November is Wet

While on the seafront the other day I took some pics of the undertow from the waves generating long dual lines of the sand. Thought it would be interesting to turn it into a monochrome pic. What does any one think?

Taken on site of a flour mill from the 1890's, all that is left is a waterfall.

Are you using direct upload to the forum as most use flickr to upload to the forum

Is your monitor calibrated could be that what you see is different to the actual photograph

I've been thinking about this as I do calibrate my monitor, but as I'm viewing the photo on the same calibrated monitor both before and after it's been posted on the forum, doesn't that imply that posting in some way changes it?

There's a significant change in colour in posting this photo. Any advice on how to stop that?

The theme for November is Wet.

Water has been used in themes and challenges in the past but I thought I would extend this to cover any liquid at all to give you all more scope for your creativity. I anticipate that water will predominant but wait to be surprised.

The basics :

This is not a competition, it's purely for fun.
All photos should be your own and be taken within the month of the chosen theme.
You can post as many photos as you wish.
Comments on submitted photos are welcome.
Please include the exif details (these may be helpful to other members).
All entries to be shot with a Canon EOS camera i.e. SLR / DSLR / M & R series.
The chosen theme, should be as inclusive as possible.
