    Theme for February :- Animals

The theme for February is animals, ie any four legged creature you like. No restriction, your choice on what, where and how. Any type, size, breed, quantity or location. They can be live, models or depictions, I’ll leave the choice on what you take entirely up to you.

    The basics :

This is not a competition, it's purely for fun.
    • All photos should be your own and be taken within the month of the chosen theme.
    • You can post as many photos as you wish.
    • Comments on submitted photos are welcome.
    • Please include the exif details (these may be helpful to other members).
    • All entries to be shot with a Canon EOS camera i.e. SLR / DSLR / M & R series.
    • The chosen theme, should be as inclusive as possible.

I look forward to seeing some inspirational entries!

    Ian

But Ian, surely you're being "leggist" and discriminating against those animals that have two, six, eight or even more legs

(or of course no legs at all!)

Thank you Russell, happy to clarify. Mammals is actually what I had in mind so we’ll stick with that, so, anything that walks on four legs; the remainder of the description above from the sentence beginning “No restriction “ applies.

Taken on an Eos 50e with a 50mm F1.8 attached.
I'm sorry for no Exif details as was taken on film but it was taken with Ilford HP5 and then lab developed and scanned, so unsure of chemicals used

Lovely pics and good to see, especially the last. It’s great to see a pic taken with a film camera, so unusual nowadays.

Thank you so much Ian! Ive started to do a little bit more with film lately, my grandad passed last year and he was Canon mad, he'd recently sold his 7d due to arthritis before he passed but kept hold of his old film stuff. He left then for me so I've been checking them out and running some film through to see if they're all good. Currently got the 50e which is perfect. The eos 3 which I'm yet to even take some shots with and an av1 which is half way through a roll.

I'll keep you posted on how it all goes

Thanks Ian! Appreciate your feedback. There is an equestrian centre about a half mile walk from where we live so my partner and I often venture there on a Sunday for a walk, you can see them in the fields grazing and playing or on the course practising jumps etc. It's really relaxing to watch
