            The flowers look great. Not being agardener I have no idea what the first two are, but love the photography.

              Spring flowers - but perhaps not quite as you usually think of them.

              These are on one of our trees, the name of which escapes me at the moment, but when SWMBO returns from her botanical painting class I will seek advice and add the name here.

              (As promised, I have sought guidance from SWMBO and am informed that it is an Acer (Maple), but not sure which one)

                That is very pretty John, and exactly the type of blossom used for painting (done that!)

                  Thanks Alan for your kind words. The first two are Helleborus plants, they tend to flower in the spring and autumn and come in a variety of colours and need very little maintenance so I love them!!

                        It's an Acer (Maple) Ian, but we cannot (at least for the moment) remember which variety.
