Just signed up as I have a specific qustion to post in the forums about time-lapse photography.
I've been using Canon for about 30 years - EOS1000 (film), EOS 400D, now 100D. All have been easy to use and totally reliable, with the 400D being slightly disappointing.
What I do miss from the EOS1000 is the "ADEP" function (auto depth of field) that allowed you to focus on a near and a far point and the camera would set the appropriate aperture to get them both in focus, without stopping down unnecessarily far.
