Hi everyone
just joined the forum and really looking forward to being a member of the community. Photography and videography have been part of my life for a very long time beginning with D and P work for Ilford laboratories in Cricklewood then moving on to being a film and VT editor in Soho, London. Now well into my 7th decade I have at last been able to buy some serious equipment thanks to my late mum’s generosity! I have had an R6 for the last 18 months with the RF600mm lens for bird photography plus the RF24-105 mm kit lens and just recently have taken the plunge and got the new RF100-400mm plus the 1.4 extender, this really has taken everything to the next level. I have never really wanted to move completely away from film and so I still use my EOS 500N film camera for B/W work, currently playing around with Infrared using Rollei 400 film. I have a nifty fifty EF lens plus a 70-300mm so perhaps looking for a secondhand wide angle at some point. The bird photography is a real challenge but one that I am really enjoying, especially ones in flight but it does take a lot of luck and practice but lots of help on Utube! I also use the R6 as a video camera and very good it is too having completed a project inside a dark cathedral without artificial light with amazing results from high ISOs. I will try to post some pictures once I have found out how to do it. Simon
