I woke this morning with light flooding through the bedroom window but it was still only 5:20am so not the sun that I usually awake to. It was Venus shining like a searchlight with Jupiter and millions of starts and the crescent moon central all set in a crystal clear sky. The moon was pooling on the sea with the work lights of fishing boats far out in the bay glistening like a string of diamonds. Quite wonderful yet one of those scenes that are impossible to photograph so I just stood and looked on.
Two hours later I was awake again in daylight but to a sea mist so thick I couldn't even see as far as the cliff edge.
