..... to encourage the sense of pride those born in Yorkshire feel for their county, I feel compelled to pass on this (not verbatim) snippet, which is contained in a letter to the editor of the Daily Telegraph this morning.


Yesterday, God was seen walking around in Yorkshire.

"What are you doing here?" he was asked.

"Working from home" came the reply.

I have always admired Yorkshire for their pride and no nonsense and I heard the following many years ago that I believe sums it up:

"I'm a Yorkshireman and I say wot a bloody like ..................... and I like wot a bloody say"
