    Photography Magazines

Just out of interest, what photography magazines do everyone take other than the EOS Magazine. Personally I don't take any other than the EOS.
Reason I ask, was talking to a friend yesterday who is very much into the technical side of photography. Always quoting various things from magazines, especially sittings that are displayed against pictures in magazines. I asked him how many magazine he took, he told me six a month!

EOS is the only one that I subscribe to, occasionally I’ll buy Amateur Photographer, Digital Camera or Adobe if I see it on the shelf and it looks like it has something of interest.

None for me. I don't have a credit/debit card so cannot subscribe, I get an incredible opportunity and experience from this forum. If I may say since I joined my photography has improved tremendously.

EOS Magazine is the only one I buy. I get Amateur Photographer digitally through the library and look at it every 2-3 weeks. I used to subscribe to this, but I didn't think there was very much original writing in it.

I have had subscriptions to a couple of monthly magazines a few years back, but I found they tend to repeat themselves after 8-10 months.

EOS Magazine only. However through my local library I have free access to Amateur Photographer & Digital Camera World on a read only basis. They cannot be downloaded.

Having been an avid reader of many Photo Mags over the years, I stopped them over 15 years ago and just subscribe to EOS Mag. Having committed to the Canon brand, I don't need to be up to date on other manufacturers, or third party kit and accessories. Whilst I recognise they need adverts to survive, I don't need every other page to be an advert. But mainly, if you subscribe to a Camera Mag for long enough, you realise they are re-cycling the same stuff every three or four years.

EOS Mag is completely relevant to my photography, the in depth articles are informative and well written, the few adverts are appropriate for me, the new kit reviews are interesting , knowledgeable and well researched. Finally, it is nice to see the odd article or photo from members of this Forum.
