Arrived - have spent the last 2 dark evenings getting my head around all the settings (about a third of the way there lol) looking forward to Sunday where I can get out for a few hours to try it out. The waiting is driving me nutts

Off out tomorrow to try the settings I have put in, but managed a very quick (literally ten minutes) with it earlier, sat in the front room shooting out into the conservatory using the ef 70-200 mkII with the 1.4 mkIII extender and get this. . . . . out of the camera jpeg iso 25600 I mean seriously !!!!!

Looking forward to reading your comments, David.
My chum has just bought an R3. She is ace at wildlife photos but not so good on all the buttonage!
So we are going to run through it together. Wex helped her set it up in the shop when she bought it but they were not totally au fait with it themselves
You Tube have lots of videos of course but we will work through the WEX one together. It's 90 mins long but goes through every page of the menu
I like it because I've got fed up of weird men in weirder T-shirts saying "What's up, Guys??!!" then telling me all about how they have customised the buttons in their own original way, and please like the video

PS Nice puddy cat. I too have been amazed at what I can do at 25600 on the R6

Too much for me, will stick with my R6 and invest in RF lenses instead

Too much for me too but . . . . where there is a will there is a way ;-) just received my RF100-500 today - talk about short notice with first race meeting in two days time. . . . luckily still have the old body 'just in case'

Hey Bo, I have been wrestling with the settings for a few days now, the stupid fast shutter speed will be great for the wildlife but I need to try to get it to last 10 hours with single shots - sussing what to turn off when idle is fun lol.
