A few weeks ago I took the plunge and submitted to an expert repairer the movement from an old grandfather clock which my father had bought many years ago.
He never got round to doing it up and while I could cope with the clock case, the movement was a step beyond my skills.
I was delighted and amazed to receive news of progress on the dial, as shown below - we still have some skilled craftsmen (and women) left!
