London - Canary Wharf, London Bridge, Greenwich

    Hi all

Not posted for ages, but finding time again to get out more.

I spent the day in London today, wondering around Canary Wharf and Greenwich (home of the Naval College and Museum).
Here's a few shots from the day.

Nice shots Mike, always something to shoot in London

I have a similar shot of the shard - did you lay down on the pavement for that angle, I did and got some very funny looks and Dee pretended she did not know me

        Very nice set Mike.

You have explored all the London options: symmetry, movement, urban and perspective. I like them all, but I am drawn to number 1 as my favourite.

          Thanks all.

Stan - I remained standing... but I know how Dee feels... my wife abandons me sometimes too!

Colin - thank you - I hadn't realised I had covered ALL the bases, but you're right!
It takes time to get to the point of 'seeing' the shot before you take it, then applying the right technique/settings.
When I started 'doing photography' I didn't get what people meant saying that, but I do now.
Mind you, other days I still just blast away... but I think I'm progressing!

          Cheers, M

For the record - the 1st shot is my favourite from the day!

I like a set rather than a single shot.....a set is more than the sum of its parts....in this case an impression of the day and place. No1 is perhaps the most successful as an individual shot.

Thanks Brian - I do agree with you... a set defines the day, a shot defines just one moment.
